Restaurant Review: Double Four Lagos

Are you about to say ‘we all know this place’? Well, I’m probably sure you have not tasted everything on the menu. If you have, then we should probably be friends. This review is long overdue as i have visited this place countless times.

AMBIENCE

This restaurant is one of the few restaurants with an awning in Lagos. It has a beautiful out door space that can sit 30-50 people. The seats are golden and the tables have a wooden vibe to it. The interior on the other hand is a large space with cushions and cane chairs. They still maintained the gold and wooden vibe in and out.

SERVICE

The wait staff are energetic and very helpful. You would even be scared, they are always there before you call, very on time to clear the tables just as soon as you are done with each meal and drink.

ORDER

I ordered baked fish and chips while for drinks, I ordered exotic flavours. My partner ordered mashed potatoes and Persian black sauce. The order took about 20 mins to arrive which was pretty fast and impressive.

TASTE

The fish was well baked, it had the perfect crisp on the outside and was properly cooked and tender on the inside, all the flavours sunk in.

As you all expect, the lady in me must take a bite off my partners meal. I have to be completely honest, i don’t know what mashed potatoes taste like outside Nigeria so i can’t completely say that it tasted like pounded yam…lol… So i’ll leave that to all you Ajala’s to be the judge of.

The restaurant is cozy especially for a family because they have baby high chairs which is highly considerate. Are you excited to try out this restaurant?
